The Hatch Project
The Hatch Project was created to give families, homeschoolers, and curious learners the opportunity to experience the incubation and hatching process firsthand without the long-term commitment of raising a flock full time.
Through the project, families are able to observe the full journey from fertile eggs to newly hatched chicks while learning about incubation, development, brooder care, animal stewardship, and the early stages of life on the homestead. The experience is designed to be hands-on, educational, and memorable for children and adults alike.
The Hatch Project includes an incubator setup, fertile eggs from our flocks, educational materials, and guidance throughout the process. Once the chicks hatch, your family can care for the chicks for up to 1 week. Once the brooder period is complete, the chicks return to our homestead.
Our hope is that The Hatch Project helps families slow down, learn together, and experience the wonder of new life in a meaningful and approachable way.
